Crowns and bridges

Crowns and bridges are reliable, long-lasting solutions used to restore damaged teeth or replace missing ones. At New Road Dental Practice, we use high-quality materials and modern techniques to restore strength, function, and appearance—helping you smile with confidence again.

What Are Crowns and Bridges?
Dental Crowns

A crown is a custom-made cap that fits over a damaged, weakened, or heavily filled tooth. It restores the tooth’s shape, strength, and appearance while protecting it from further damage.

Dental Bridges

A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It is anchored to the natural teeth on either side of the gap (or dental implants) and “bridges” the space, restoring your smile and bite.

The Crown & Bridge Procedure
  1. Examination & Planning
Your dentist will assess your teeth, gums, and bite. X-rays may be taken to ensure the tooth or supporting teeth are suitable for treatment.
  2. Tooth Preparation
The affected tooth (or teeth) is carefully reshaped to allow space for the crown or bridge.
  3. Impressions & Temporary Restoration
Accurate impressions are taken and sent to a dental laboratory. A temporary crown or bridge is placed to protect your teeth while your final restoration is made.
  4. Fitting & Adjustment
Once ready, the permanent crown or bridge is securely fitted, adjusted for comfort, and polished for a natural appearance.
Types of Crowns We Offer

  • PBC (Porcelain Bonded to Metal) – from £475.00
